Subaru Legacy sedan Outback vehicles
Subaru has announced a third recall on its new Legacy sedan and Outback vehicles. The recall is due to the oil lubrication hole within the six-speed manual transmission transfer case had not been drilled, which could lead to the gears breaking. Subaru of America also issued a stop-sale order on the affected vehicles to its U.S. dealers on July 19, 2010. The automaker told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that hole was omitted “due to a programming error”. Subaru has also confirmed that dealers will repair these affected vehicles by drilling an oil lubrication hole and, if necessary, replace any damaged internal parts with new ones free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin on or about August 6, 2010

2011 Volkswagen Caddy Van
Volkswagen is a company that gained a lot of popularity back in the day for their now classic VW Vans. One thing that they have never been particularly famous for is commercial vans, but all that could change with the release of the new 2011 Volkswagen Caddy. The Caddy will be sold with four choices of diesel engines, two of which will be BlueMotion units and two will be petrol models. So far fuel consumption figures have only been revealed for the 102-PS engine used 4.9 liters of diesel for every 100 km traveled. This is compared to 6.6 liters of fuel per 100 km by the most powerful petrol engine available.
